Panel 1 – Swaps at time of transition
The industry is focusing on the implications of no-deal Brexit for the financial services industry, but a wider look should be taken on the regulatory divergence and cross border supervision. Not only should we focus on the LIBOR-RFR transition, the new instruments available and how do they differ, but also the wider market that is catching up to become complaint SORA (Singapore) & HONIA (Hong Kong).
Panel 2 – Back office & operational issues
Spikes in volatility put a lot of pressure on the back office, we saw many rise to the challenge, while other did not. What precautions could be taken to avoid future incidents and streamlines processes going forward as digital transformation becomes front and centre, the panel will discuss the latest developments and issues being faced by the industry as they hold the greatest risk.
Panel 3 – ESG
ESG funds are set to outnumber conventional funds by 2025, even though ESG didn’t spare investors from the impacts of Covid, investors’ and the wider public are increasing focus on mitigating risks such as climate change thanks to the efforts of Sir David Attenborough and social inequality highlighted by the BLM movement.
