Webcast (replay): Getting re-acquainted with UK equities in 2021

Start
20 May 2021 12:00 AM

In April 2021, a dip in bond yields helped buoy global risk appetite. Global stock markets extended their Q1 2021 gains in April amid the improving outlook for advanced economies and corporate profits (particularly in the US) and pullback in government yields. The rally paused at month-end as high valuations and a spike in Covid-19 cases in India and Brazil weighed on risk appetite and investors digested Q1 earnings results. What are the perspectives for UK equity?

During this webcast, Philip Lawlor, Managing Director, Global Investment Research, FTSE Russell, makes a brief appraisal of the status of UK equities in a Post-Brexit, Post-Covid world. How do UK valuations, earnings and macro drivers compare and is the UK market a beneficiary of a rotation to Value?

Watch FTSE Russell and EUREX for a review of UK equities and the recently launched derivatives on various FTSE 100 indexes. Eurex has very recently launched a set of listed instruments enabling investors to gain access to UK markets and improve their capital efficiency by trading more European benchmarks on its platform.

Index Futures, Index Options, Dividend Futures and Total Return futures on FTSE® 100 are available to trade for investors looking to express their views and manage their exposure on the UK’s leading benchmark.
