1.   Introduction

The Management Board of Eurex Deutschland decided, with effect from 6 December 2021, to introduce for Weekly Options on the EURO STOXX® 50 Index (OES1/2/4) one additional monthly expiration. 

For Liquidity Providers, the requirements remain unchanged. 

Production start (OES2): 6 December 2021

Production start (OES1/4): 13 December 2021

2.    Required action

Trading Participants should adapt their trading and clearing systems to incorporate the new monthly expiration for the respective product.

3.    Details 

Currently, Eurex offers in Weekly Options on the EURO STOXX 50® Index only one monthly expiration. With the introduction of one additional monthly expiration (subsequent month), Eurex wants to support additional and requested trading strategies like rolling positions from the first month into the second month of the same weekly expiration.

For Liquidity Providers, the quotation requirements stay unchanged.
