Bonds issued in Danish Krones: Introduction for Trading at Eurex Bonds

On April 2, 2012, Eurex Bonds will introduce trading in bonds issued in Danish krones.

As of this date, all Eurex Bonds participants who have specified a Danish krone settlement account to Eurex Bonds will generally be entitled to trade bonds issued in Danish krones.

For trading of bonds issued in Danish krones, two new instrument groups will be introduced: GODK for government bonds issued in Danish krones and CBDK for covered bonds issued in Danish krones.

In order to participate in trading with bonds issued in Danish krones, the respective Member Supervisor must assign the instrument groups GODK and CBDK to the corresponding trader groups (Subgroup Assignment Maintenance window).

As of March 9, 2012, the instrument groups GODK and CBDK will be activated in the production environment and can be assigned as of this date.

In future, all admitted government bonds and covered bonds issued in Danish krones will be included in these instrument groups.

All Eurex Bonds participants with an ICSD account are entitled to settle foreign currency transactions via this account. In order to confirm this account or to specify another account, Eurex Bonds has sent an inquiry with fax reply to the participants. If the fax reply is not sent back, assignment of the instrument groups to the respective participants will not be possible.

Effective immediately, all Eurex Bonds participants are able to test trading in selected bonds issued in Danish krones in the Eurex Bonds simulation environment. The instrument groups GODK and CBDK have already been set up in the Eurex Bonds simulation environment, in line with the production environment.
