Eurex Exchange Readiness Newsflash | Go-Live of NextGen ETD Contracts: Deletion of inactive, integrated weekly options contracts becoming effective on 3 April 2023

Eurex Exchange Readiness Newsflash | Go-Live of NextGen ETD Contracts: Deletion of inactive, integrated weekly options contracts becoming effective on 3 April 2023

Dear Eurex Participants,

With this Newsflash we would like to inform you about an additional measure, following the go-live of Next Generation ETD Contracts on 27 March 2023:

For technical reasons, Eurex’ systems currently provide inactive and integrated weekly options contracts of the main options products (new-style contracts, e.g. in ODAX) with strike price and expiration day identical to the still active and non-integrated weekly options contracts in the weekly options products (e.g. ODX1, ODX2).

This situation primarily applies to weekly contracts expiring on 6 April 2023 (1st Friday expiration) and on 14 April 2023 (2nd Friday expiration). The inactive integrated contracts are not provided via the T7 reference data interfaces RDI /RDF, but they are currently distributed via selected Clearing reports, flagged as “inactive”, and consumed and distributed by some vendors.

Eurex will delete these inactive, integrated weekly contracts in the course of this weekend. The changes will become effective on 3 April 2023.
