Eurex Exchange Readiness Newsflash | Regulatory Reporting Solution (RRS) for non-MiFIR firms: Production launch date, documentation updates, functional limitations in simulation environment

Dear Eurex Participant,

With this Newsflash we would like to make you aware of updates regarding the Regulatory Reporting Solution (RRS) for non-MiFIR firms.  

A. Production launch date

With Eurex circular 096/21, postponement of the Production launch date for RRS for non-MiFIR firms to Q1 2022 was announced.

The new schedule is as follows:

  • Simulation with the final software version: 31 January - 11 March 2022
  • Production deployment: 15 March 2022

B. Documentation updates

Please find below the updates to the documentation made on 1 December 2021:

  • Trading Venue Reporting File amendment:
    - Addition of column TRADE_ID in all file types to allow unique identification of transactions (buy/sell pair) for non-CCP-cleared transactions (see changes in Trade Venue File Specs in red)
    - Addition of EUREX_PRODUCT_ID as last column in all file types as useful information for Members
  • Correction: Upload files via the Common Upload Engine (CUE) have to be unzipped and have to have the current date in the file name instead of the trade date
  • Upload of multiple files per venue: next file can only be sent after the feedback for the previous file is received (or keep a 15-minute pause between uploads for the same venue). Moreover, CUE rejects any upload with an already existing file name, so multiple uploads on the same day can be done by increasing the upload number in the file name (e.g. TVUPL002, TVUPL003…) 
  • File naming convention amendment: Only for feedback files to upload files, a timestamp identifier has been added to the file name, right after the date, for processing purposes. All other file names have remained identical, please find more information in the updated User Manual.
  • Synchronisation of Xetra and Eurex sample files so that all scenarios are covered equally in both sets

C. Functional limitations in the simulation environment

Please be informed that we are currently encountering functional limitations in the simulation environment. We are working on fixing them. For details, please contact your Key Account Manager.

Production newsboard

The market status window is an indication regarding the current technical availability of the trading system. It indicates whether news board messages regarding current technical issues of the trading system have been published or will be published shortly.

Please find further information about incident handling in the Emergency Playbook published on the Eurex webpage under Support --> Emergencies and safeguards. Detailed information about incident communication, market re-opening procedures and best practices for order and trade reconciliation can be found in the chapters 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5, respectively. Concrete information for the respective incident will be published during the incident via newsboard message. 

We strongly recommend not to take any decisions based on the indications in the market status window but to always check the production news board for comprehensive information on an incident.
