Eurex/TAIFEX link: Additional Market-Making scheme for Daily Futures on TAIEX derivatives

Daily Futures on TAIEX derivatives (FTX) have been traded at Eurex Exchange since 15 May 2014. For this product, a Designated Market-Making (DMM) scheme is offered which includes a fixed compensation for fulfilling Market Makers.

In addition to this scheme, the Management Board of Eurex Deutschland and the Executive Board of Eurex Zürich AG decided to introduce another DMM scheme with tighter spread requirements (i.e. 8 basis points):

  1. Designated Market Makers who fulfill these tighter spread requirements at 50 percent of the time between 07:45 CET (08:45 CEST) and 17:30 CET/CEST on a monthly average shall receive an additional fixed compensation of EUR 5,000 per month,
  2. The additional DMM scheme will run for the period from 1 September to 31 December 2014. It will be restricted to a maximum of five Designated Market Makers,
  3. In case more than the five DesignatedMarket Makers qualify for reimbursement, the higher number of contracts traded in the order book on the M-account per product and month shall decide which of the Market Makers will receive the reimbursement.
  4. Designated Market Makers who are already registered do not have to register for a second time. Interested Designated Market Makers who are not yet registered are requested to use the form attached to Eurex Clearing Circular 120/14.
