Foreign exchange (FX) derivatives: Amendment to Market-Making scheme for FX futures and options

As announced in Eurex circular 170/14, Eurex Exchange offers a Market-Making scheme to foster liquidity in FX derivatives, including revenue sharing and transaction fee rebates until the end of 2017 for FX futures and options.

The Management Board of Eurex Deutschland and the Executive Board of Eurex Zürich have decided the following amendments to the Market-Making scheme for FX futures and options, effective 1 April 2015:

The initially communicated timeline, according to which Market Makers who have signed and returned the FX Market-Making scheme application form by 30 November 2014 at the latest, need to fulfill the Market-Making obligations in at least one month in at least one package between 1 January 2015 and 31 March 2015 in order not to loose their entitlement to the revenue sharing from the Market-Making scheme, will be extended for another nine months.

In the Market-Making scheme for FX futures, the minimum quote sizes and maximum spread obligations will be reduced.

The parameters of the Market-Making scheme for FX options will remain unchanged.
