Eurex

Important changes and enhancements to the Common Report Engine

Important non-backwards compatible technical changes and functional enhancements will be made to the Common Report Engine (CRE). To increase the download performance, all reports of  Eurex Exchange’s T7, Eurex Clearing Legacy System, Eurex Clearing C7 and Eurex Clearing Prisma will be provided in a compressed format (.zip) within the private area of Trading Participants and Clearing Members.
EurexOTC IRS will follow at a later point in time and will be announced in a separate circular.

These changes will be effective on 28 August 2014 for the simulation environments and from 15 September 2014 for the production environments. All reports for Eurex Simulation for business day starting 28 August 2014 and all reports for Eurex Production for business day starting 15 September will be delivered as zip files.

Together with this, “versioning” will be introduced on the CRE in case of report corrections in order to allow Participants to track changes. In case a report will be corrected, a version number will be provided along with the new version of the report and the previous version will not be overwritten.

Furthermore, naming conventions for intraday reports will be harmonised: Intraday reports will always contain a time string with the format “HHMMSS”.

For details regarding naming conventions and versioning, please consult the Common Report Engine User Guide and the Eurex XML Reports - Reference Manual which are available for download on the Eurex website www.eurexchange.com under the link:

Technology > Eurex Exchange’s T7 > System documentation > Release 2.1 > Eurex Reports

The market status window is an indication regarding the current technical availability of the trading system. It indicates whether news board messages regarding current technical issues of the trading system have been published or will be published shortly.

Please find further information about incident handling in the Emergency Playbook published on the Eurex webpage under Support --> Emergencies and safeguards. Detailed information about incident communication, market re-opening procedures and best practices for order and trade reconciliation can be found in the chapters 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5, respectively. Concrete information for the respective incident will be published during the incident via newsboard message.

We strongly recommend not to take any decisions based on the indications in the market status window but to always check the production news board for comprehensive information on an incident.
