Italian Equity Options and Single Stock Futures: Adjustments to the Regulation of the Last Trading Day of Futures and Options Contracts

In their session on April 30, 2008 the Management Boards of the Eurex Exchanges decided to modify the regulation of the last trading day and the final settlement day for Italian options and Single Stock Futures. The change will become effective on May 7, 2008.

The amendment of the determination of the last trading day will harmonize final settlement day of the Italian market and the Eurex exchanges in case the third Friday of the expiration month is a public holiday.

This change will relate for the first time to expiring options series and Single Stock Futures contracts in August 2008. Originally, the final settlement day would be August 14, 2008 due to a holiday on the 15th. According to the new regulation, the final settlement day will now be August 13, 2008.
