Liquidity Provisioning: Change of quotation parameters for EURO STOXX 50® Index-Dividend-Futures and change in Liquidity Provider Agreement

Eurex Circular 024/20

1. Introduction

The Management of Eurex Deutschland and Eurex Frankfurt has decided:

  • to adapt the Product Specific Supplement for EURO STOXX 50® Index-Dividend-Futures, effective  6 April 2020, according to Attachment 1,
  • change of Liquidity Provider Agreement, effective 4 May 2020, according to Attachment 2.

2. Required action

There are no actions required.

3. Details and background

The volatile situation on the financial markets and the uncertainty with regards to dividend payments impedes the quotation of the EURO STOXX 50® Index-Dividend-Futures (FEXD). The widening of the quotation spreads and a reduction of the required expiries accounts for this circumstance. This measure should enable Liquidity Providers to fulfil the quotation requirements in the current market situation and to qualify for the respective incentives.

The Liquidity Provider Agreement shall be amended according to Attachment 2 to further substantiate the granting of incentives to the benefit of Liquidity Providers. The amendments will be deemed to have been approved if Liquidity Provider does not lodge objections within fifteen (15) business days of notification of the amendment according to clause 2 (4) of the Liquidity Provider Agreement.
