Effective 3 April 2017, the Management Board of Eurex Deutschland and the Executive Board of Eurex Zürich AG took the following decisions:
1. Discontinuation of trading of precious metals futures contracts and precious metals options contracts based on the London gold market fixing (product code: FGFX/OGFX)
2. Discontinuation of trading of precious metals futures contracts and precious metals options contracts based on the London silver market fixing (product code: FSFX/OSFX).
With immediate effect, no further maturities will be introduced for futures contracts. Trading of already existing maturities without open interest will be discontinued and put on “inactive“.
Existing options series without open interest will be removed from the Eurex Exchange system. If a product has no open interest, the product will completely be put on “HALT” and be deleted from the Eurex Exchange system during the month of April in 2017 (the silver contracts are already put on “HALT”.) A separate announcement regarding the system deletion is not planned.
