Reduction in Market Depth disseminated via the Enhanced Broadcast Solution for Options Products

In Eurex circular 115/07 Eurex provided members with an overview of the broadcast groups together with
the associated market depth disseminated via the Enhanced Broadcast Solution.
In response to members’ actual market data requirements, to ensure the best possible utilization of the network infrastructure and facilitate maximum throughput in peak load situations, Eurex will optimize the dissemination of market data for options products by reducing the level of market depth which will be provided.

From May 17, 2010 onwards the level of market depth provided in the production environment for the product group OINX (equity index options) will be reduced from 10 to 5. The level of market depth for all other options products will be reduced from 10 to 3 accordingly. The product reference data will be modified to reflect the new maximum order book depth levels.

The changes to the market dept for the options products will also be applied to the simulation environment from April 23, 2010 onwards.

Members are advised that the VALUES API request Inquire Single Leg Orderbook Depth and the @X-ceed Trading GUI window Contract Combination Overview will also be affected by the reduction in market depth.
