Eurex connectivity: Introduction of new market data and order entry switches

Eurex Circular 006/24 Eurex connectivity: Introduction of new market data and order entry switches

1.   Introduction

To provide existing Trading Participants with further growth opportunities and to ensure additional network capacity to serve new Trading Participants in the future, Eurex Exchange has decided to take the following actions:

  • Introduction of a seventh 10Gbit/s order entry switch (A side only) and a seventh 10Gbit/s order entry switch (B side),
  • Introduction of a sixth 10Gbit/s market data switch (A side) 

The new switches will be available from 25 March 2024 onwards.

2.   Required action

Trading Participants who wish to use the new connections from the start date 25 March 2024 should place their orders by 12 February 2024 at the latest.

3.   Details 

The overall connection limits, as defined in the current GTC to the Connection Agreement and GTC to the Provider Connection Agreement, with a maximum of six (6) 10Gbit/s order entry connections per access point (switch) and forty (40) 10Gbit/s market data connections per Trading Participant or Contracting Party will remain unchanged.

As an additional temporary restriction during the pre-launch phase before 25 March 2024, ordering of maximum two connections per new switch and Trading Participant or Contracting Party will be possible.
