Deutsche Börse Market Data + Services launches Virtualised Private Simulation

On-demand access to simulation environment

Deutsche Börse Market Data + Services today announced the release of Virtualised Private Simulation (VPS) – a proprietary cloud-based solution providing clients with self-provisioned, on-demand access to Eurex Exchange’s T7 simulation environment.

VPS allows Eurex Exchange members to develop and test the T7 system according to their own schedule; facilitating faster, round-the-clock development cycles and ensuring application readiness ahead of future T7 architecture release changes. In a dedicated VPS instance, trading members will be able to maintain their own order books, to recreate specific trading scenarios and to test their algorithms without the risk of exposing their strategies to any other participants.

“Deutsche Börse’s T7 trading architecture aims to not only reduce latency and enhance throughput but also to transform the way users interact with our technology. Our innovative, cloud-based offering allows participants to access the Eurex T7 simulation environment from where and when they like. In addition, our VPS solution reduces significantly the on-boarding effort and time-to-market for exchange participants”, said Sean Chinnock, Director, Market Data + Services.

VPS was designed and developed in cooperation with CohesiveFT, the industry leader in secure and scalable cloud solutions. This allowed for the delivery of an innovative tool to assist exchange participants in their development efforts.

The initial release of VPS offers 24/7 access using an encrypted internet connection to Eurex T7’s pre-release and production-simulation environment and features the complete T7 interface landscape: Reference Data Interface, Enhanced Transaction Interface, Market Data Interface, Enhanced Market Data Interface and Eurex Enhanced Order Book Interface. The inclusion of Eurex FIX Gateway is planned for a future release.

VPS complements Market Data + Service’s existing range of on-demand IT services for capital markets which include Software as a Service (SaaS), Application Service Provisions (ASP), as well as IT hosting and global connectivity solutions.
