TARGET2-Securities (T2S) will be the foundation of the Capital Markets Union, said Mario Draghi at the T2S launch celebration event on 2 July 2015 in Milan.
The Capital Markets Union will establish a single capital market within the Eurozone and T2S will be central to facilitating greater integration of markets.
T2S, the Eurosystem’s landmark platform for securities settlement, started live operation on 22 June. The T2S platform will enable integrated securities settlement across Europe.
