Webcast (replay): Bitcoin ETN Futures – the trusted path to crypto

Decrypting crypto: How traditional financial institutions enter the cryptocurrency market

Cryptocurrencies increasingly affect the general market, making accessing these digital assets increasingly critical for all financial institutions. However, many firms remain reluctant to diversify their portfolio towards crypto, primarily due to uncertainty in compliance, regulation and security.

Access to digital assets via a trusted infrastructure and regulatory framework may prove to be the key to unlocking cryptocurrencies for the main market.

For that reason, Eurex introduced Bitcoin ETN Futures, Europe's first regulated market in Bitcoin-related derivatives. Participants can trade the Bitcoin performance with these futures like any Eurex product and stay within Eurex's trusted trading, clearing, and settlement infrastructure. This offers a unique ability to gain exposure to Bitcoin, free of operational effort.

Our Eurex webcast with experts from ETC Group and BitGo  discusses crypto adoption by institutional investors, shares insights on the product design and presents the key benefits of the newly launched Bitcoin ETN Future.

Moreover, the webinar  explores:

  • Product design: Why the ETN was chosen as the underlying
  • Structure of exchange-traded cryptocurrency (ETC): How ETC Group as issuer efficiently constructed the Bitcoin exchange-traded product
  • Safe custody: How BitGo as the custodian ensures the digital assets are safe

Moderator:
Cornelius J. Trenz, Head of Marketing, Eurex

Speaker:
Bradley Duke, CEO, ETC Group
Darren Jordan, Managing Director EMEA, BitGo
Surbhi Singh, Equity & Index Sales, Eurex
Sascha Semroch, Product Development, Eurex
