Following the measurement of the majority of all Colo 2.0 connections and the review of the results, Eurex will initiate the next step in improving the normalization of the Colo 2.0 connections. For this purpose, Eurex plans to replace one part of the Colo 2.0 cables to customer racks during the period of January/February 2023.
Affected customers will be contacted separately with a detailed and well balanced plan in the second half of January 2023.
The plan will contain a dedicated sequence of replacements driven by the desire to be as fair as possible. To ensure fast execution Eurex counts on the cooperation of the affected customers. Eurex will improve the variance in cable length (max minus min) from currently 1m (5 ns) to 70 cm (3.5 ns) without lengthening any cables.
Due to the replacement of cables Eurex will postpone the introduction of the three new switches from 6 February 2023 (see Eurex Circular 112/22) to 13 March 2023.
