Details

I. Trading Participants not subject to MiFIR (Non-MiFIR Participants)

A. Mandatory enhancements (action required)

To ensure readiness for the 16 March 2026 go-live, all Non-MiFIR Participants must implement the following changes:

  • Adopt new XML schemas: Implement the new XML Schema Definitions (XSDs) for reports TR160 and TR161, which were introduced with T7 Release 14.0 on 10 November 2025.
  • Use new upload files: Transition to the new Short Code upload file format.
  • Switch to new upload channel: Utilize the newly created, dedicated non-MiFIR upload channel via the SCLC Business Service: EXTREFNM.

Important: The validations will lead to rejections in case of unvalid uploads (e.g. if the new file will be uploaded to the current EXTREFDA service by a Non-MiFIR client the file will be rejected, the same would hold for MiFIR clients trying to upload the new file format and other invalid combination).

B. Optional enhancements

Non-MiFIR Participants have the option to include personal identification data in their reporting.

  • Functionality: Create one-off registrations for Short Code/Long Code (SCLC) combinations that include First Name, Surname, and Date of Birth by populating the new, dedicated fields in the upload file.
  • Benefit: Successfully registered personal data will be used to enrich your transaction reporting, which will be visible for review in the Trading Venue Extract Files and prevents errors.

II. Trading Participants subject to MiFIR (MiFIR Participants)

Mandatory enhancement (action required)

The only required change for MiFIR Participants is to adapt to the new XSDs for reports TR160 and TR161, which were introduced with T7 Release 14.0 on 10 November 2025. No other changes are required.

Testing and further Information

It is highly recommended that all Participants perform end-to-end testing in the official simulation environment for SC/LC upload, RRS, and T7 to ensure readiness for the go-live on 16 March 2026.
