Fixed income derivatives: Weekly options on Euro-Bund Futures: Adjustment of contract specifications

Effective 25 January 2016, the Management Board of Eurex Deutschland and the Executive Board of Eurex Zürich AG decided to adjust the contract specifications for fixed income options with weekly expirations (“weekly options“) on Euro-Bund Futures.

If the underlying futures contract (FGBL) is not yet available for trading on the date the weekly option is introduced, the weekly option of the following expiration month is introduced at a later point in time.

In these cases, a technical weekly option of the following expiration month is introduced for the interim period; however, this technical weekly option will not be tradable at any time. As soon as the next expiration month of the underlying futures contract (FGBL) has been introduced and the technical weekly option expired, the regular expiration month of this weekly option will be introduced.
