Eurex Circular 110/21 Money Market Futures: Delisting of EONIA-Futures (FEO1) and Three-Month SARON® Futures (FSO3)

1.  Introduction

The Management Board of Eurex Deutschland took the following decisions with effect from 20 December 2021:

  • Delisting of EONIA Futures (FEO1)
  • Delisting of Three-Month SARON® Futures (FSO3)

Production start: 20 December 2021

This circular contains all information on the products that will be delisted and the updated sections of the relevant Rules and Regulations of Eurex Deutschland.

2.  Required action

There is no specific action required.

3.  Details

EONIA futures (FEO1) were halted with effective date 20 September 2021, given the EONIA rate will no longer be distributed after December 2021.

In order to align with new benchmark RFR market convention, a new SARON® Futures contract (product code: FSR3) was introduced with effective date 27 September 2021 to match the contract name to the start of the contract period. In this context, Three-Month SARON® Futures (FSO3) were halted with effective date 15 September 2021.
