3.    Details

Deutsche Börse Group will launch Release 11.0 of the T7 trading system on 21 November 2022. Support > Initiatives & Releases > T7 Release 11.0 > System Documentation > Overview and Functionality

A.  Backward compatibility

T7 Release 11.0 is a mandatory release and will not provide backwards compatibility for the T7 ETI/FIX LF interface version 10.1, i.e. participants, who do not want to use the new functionality, will not be able to connect to T7 with the interface layout version 10.1 or older after the production launch of T7 Release 11.0.

Public market and reference data interfaces, including EOBI, EMDI, MDI, RDI/RDF, as well as reports and data files, will not provide backwards compatibility.

B.  Preparations for Friday, 18 November and Saturday, 19 November 2022

On Friday, 18 November 2022, T7 Release 10.1 will be in production for the last time. Reports for the business day 18 November 2022 can be expected at the usual time.

On Saturday, 19 November 2022, Deutsche Börse will convert the T7 production system to Release 11.0 and initial reference data for business day 21 November 2022 will be available via RDI and RDF following the start of the system in preparation for the support window.

C.  Support window for T7 Release 11.0 on Saturday, 19 November 2022

The T7 Release 11.0 support window will be conducted on Saturday, 19 November 2022, between 15:00 and 18:00 CET. Connectivity testing during the support window is strongly recommended for all participants and Multi-Member Service Providers to ensure connectivity for the start of trading on Monday, 21 November 2022. Please make sure that a staff member will be available to perform the login to the T7 production system (e.g. T7 Trader and/or Admin GUI and third-party applications).

At this time, the T7 production system will be available for connectivity testing on the ETI, FIX LF, RDI, MDI, EMDI and EOBI interfaces and via T7 Admin-, T7 Clearer- and T7 Trader GUI. No order and quote entries will be possible.

Please note that during the support window, at approximately 15:30 CET, all products in the T7 production systems will be set to "Start of Day", providing participants with the opportunity to perform their regular start of day activities:

  • Market data:

After the start of day, product and instrument state change information messages are sent out. Thereafter, snapshots are sent out periodically (MDI, EMDI, EOBI) in addition to functional beacons or heartbeats via the incremental stream in EMDI and EOBI respectively. Traders do not have access to the orderbook.

Please refer to the document “T7 Release 11.0 Market and Reference Data Interfaces Manual” (Section 9.11.1) for further details.

  • ETI & FIX LF:

– In general, session and user logons are possible.
– ETI: It is possible to send retransmission requests.
– FIX LF: It is possible to send resend requests.
– Orderbook management is not possible.

Please refer to the documents “T7 Release 11.0 Enhanced Trading Interface Manual” (Section 4.7.11) and “T7 Release 11.0 FIX LF Manual” (Section 3.8.11) for further details.

During the support window, a message “Connection Test Eurex <hh:mm:ss>” will appear with an increasing sequence number in the market news view (news board) of the T7 Trader GUI and the T7 Admin GUI.

Deutsche Börse will inform participants about the general progress of the support window via implementation news on the Eurex website, available under the link:

Support > Information Channels > Implementation News

Following the end of the support window, the T7 11.0 production system will be shut down on 19 November 2022 at 18:00 CET and will be unavailable until Sunday evening, 20 November 2022.

  • MsgSeqNum’s in FIX LF

Please note that after the connection test, MsgSeqNum’s (inbound and outbound) will not be reset upon the next start of day/start of the FIX Gateway.

This point is documented in the “T7 Release 11.0 FIX LF Manual” in the section “5.10.2 Outage on T7 FIX LF Side”.

D.  Monday, 21 November 2022 – Production start

The first trading day with T7 Release 11.0 will start as usual.

Please note: As the system will be re-started Sunday evening, after the connection test on Saturday, the initial reference data file for the business day 21 November 2022 will be re-generated. As the reference data provided on 19 November 2022 via RDI and RDF prior to the support window may potentially contain some changes, participants are required to use the initial reference data provided following the system start for 21 November 2022.

Orders entered until 18 November 2022 (end of trading) but not executed, will continue to be available on 21 November 2022, unless other validity restrictions were set.

A list of any items that are relevant prior to the production start of T7 Release 11.0 will be provided as of 18 November 2022. This “known limitations” list will be available on the dedicated initiative page under the link:

Support > Initiatives & Releases > T7 Release 11.0 > Production
