3.  Details

Overview of functional enhancements:

A. New two-factor authentication process for login, which is mandatory to be set up by all users from 17 April 2023

Deutsche Börse’s objective is to always ensure a strong protection against unauthorized access to Member Section user accounts, while providing ease of use at the same time. With this release, the Member Section login process will be enhanced by introducing a new two-factor authentication process.

All Member Section users need to set up the new two-factor authentication process. Once the new authentication is set up, Member Section users will easily and securely sign-in to their Member Section accounts.

Required action:

Between 17 April and 28 April 2023, log in to the Member Section. With a successful login, the new authentication method via e-mail and verification code is set up for you. There is no further action required if you wish to continue using e-mail authentication only. Authentication via e-mail will be the default method for all users.

If you want to set up an additional method, there are two options:

  • SMS text message authentication

Users can register their mobile phone to receive the verification code via SMS text message.

  • App authorisation

Users can use the Microsoft Authenticator App and register their mobile phone to receive the verification code.

After having set up e-mail authentication, you can select and set up an additional authentication method in the Member Section via the following path: My Profile > Login Settings > Two-Factor Authentication options. Instructions can be found here: Member Section Support > Two-Factor Authentication or in the Login User Guide.

Instructions for the log-in via verification code received by e-mail are described under: Member Section Support > Tutorial Videos > How to log in with the email verification.

We recommend that Member Section users enable and use a second authentication method in addition to the standard e-mail and verification code authentication method for increased usability.

Please note:

Users who have not logged in between the start of two-factor authentication from 17 April 2023 and by the close of business on 28 April 2023, will receive an error message when trying to log in.

Those users will be required to firstly reset their password via “Forgot your password?” and set up the new two-factor authentication process. This is done by logging in using the verification code they will receive by e-mail. The password reset process is explained under: Member Section Support > FAQ > How can I reset my password?

As of 14 April 2023, the existing authentication process via ForgeRock Authenticator App will be decommissioned.

B. Refreshed landing page

The landing page of the Member Section will be refreshed to give clients a clearer overview of the services within the client portal and to provide an overall improved interface.

C. Refreshed Fee Report Portal

As of Monday, 17 April 2023, Member Section users will be presented with a refreshed interface of the Fee Report Portal within the Member Section. Deutsche Börse will upgrade the technical infrastructure and introduce an improved user interface. This change does not require any actions from Member Section users.

D. Enhancement of Customer Documentation and Resources area

The layout for the services Documents and Resources within the Member Section will also be refreshed to improve the user interface. This change does not require any actions from Member Section users.

E. Decommissioning of Download Agent

The legacy download agents will be decommissioned as of 15 April 2023. All download agents are replaced with modern APIs that are available in the API Hub inside the Member Section.

Members are asked to get familiar with the API Hub. To further consume the data, Trading Members need to make sure to program the new interface via the “API Hub”. Details on the API Hub are available via the Technical Connection – User Guide in chapter 2.5.
