Eurex
1. Introduction
As announced via Eurex Circular 017/25, Eurex Deutschland will launch 30 CHF-denominated Equity Total Return Futures (ETRFs) based on Swiss equities on Monday, 31 March 2025.
On this occasion, the new Swiss ETRF products will be enabled for regular block trades (i.e. outside of a Basket) via Eurex Trade Entry Services (TES) functionality. Therefore, the ETRFs in CHF will be able to be traded as both standalone block trades and via Basket Trades of Equity Total Return Futures functionality (BTRFs).
Production start: 31 March 2025
2. Required action
Participants interested to trade ETRF/BTRF will need to fill in and submit the “Application Form for Participation in Trading/Clearing of Basket Trades Functionality” for the assignment of the ETRF product capacity and entitlement to the Basket Trades functionality. The form will be sent to the Participants via their Key Account Managers.
No further registration is required for the Participants already active in trading ETRFs/BTRFs. However, it is recommended that the Participants analyze the potential impact front-to-back of the above changes, in particular handling the activation of the block trades handling outside of a BTRF basket via TES functionality.
3. Product details
The table in the Attachment shows the product details, including the ISINs and vendor tickers for the Swiss ETRFs.
