Eurex Repo Readiness Newsflash | Eurex Repo F7: Mandatory Migration to TLS 1.3 and Decommissioning of TLS 1.2 with F7 Release 4.5

With this Newsflash, Eurex Repo informs you about the Mandatory Migration to TLS 1.3 and Decommissioning of TLS 1.2 with F7 Release 4.5.

We would like to draw your attention to the mandatory transition to TLS 1.3 and the decommissioning of TLS 1.2 for all F7 customer facing interfaces. As previously communicated in the F7 Connectivity Guide, the phase out of TLS 1.2 has been planned for 2026, and this milestone will now be reached with F7 Release 4.5:

•    For the F7 Simulation environment, TLS 1.2 will be decommissioned on 16 March 2026.

•    For the F7 Production environment, TLS 1.2 will be decommissioned on 27 April 2026.

•    For the F7 Advanced Simulation environment, TLS 1.2 will be decommissioned on 6 May 2026.

From these dates onward, only TLS 1.3 will be accepted for all customer facing connections, including the F7 GUI, the F7 API, and the F7 FIX interface

Any attempt to connect with TLS 1.2 will be rejected after the decommissioning dates.

Please focus specifically on the F7 API and F7 FIX client configurations to ensure all clients default to TLS 1.3 encryption.

F7 GUI users can verify the TLS version used by their browser by following these instructions:

Using Browser Developer Tools (Chrome, Edge, Firefox)

Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge

  • 1- Open the website in question.
  • 2- Press F12 (or Right click → Inspect) to open Developer Tools.
  • 3- Open the Privacy and Security tab (visible directly or via » and “+”).
  • 4- Navigate to Security → Overview.
  • 5- Under Connection, the TLS version will be displayed (e.g., TLS 1.3).

Mozilla Firefox

  • 1- Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  • 2- Select Connection secure → More Information.
  • 3- Under Technical Details, the connection protocol (TLS version) is shown.

TLS 1.3 is already available in both Simulation and Production and can be used immediately.

A list of cipher suites supported by TLS 1.3 is available in the F7 Connectivity Guide.
