1. Introduction
Please be informed that the GC Pooling ECB Basket and GC Pooling Green Bond Basket will be amended and become effective on 2 June 2025.
2. Required action
Eurex Repo Participants will need to review their internal operational processes due to the following change in the attached GC Pooling Basket Definition (Annex 1 of ExR Basket Specifications).
3. Details
A. GC Pooling ECB Basket
Eurex Repo plans to extend the existing GC Pooling ECB basket by two main European countries Ireland and Spain.
Spain doesn’t fulfill the minimum rating requirement for the GC Pooling ECB Basket yet. Eurex Repo will announce separately an inclusion date from which Spanish bonds could be allocated once the minimum credit rating criteria are met.
B. GC Pooling Green Bond Basket
Due to the amendment of the GC Pooling ECB basket, the GC Pooling Green Bond Basket has to be amended consequently because it represents a subset of the GC Pooling ECB Basket. Furthermore, two missing European countries Slovakia and Slovenia will be added.
In summary, the extension contains four European countries: Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain.
