Flughafen Wien AG: Takeover

Update as of 21 February 2023

In a statement dated 10 February 2023, Airports Group Europe has announced the result of the takeover offer to the shareholders of Flughafen Wien. According to the statement, Airports Group Europe owns approximately 43.37% of the equity capital of Flughafen Wien after settlement of the offer. So, the requirements for the settlement at fair value as specified in the contract specifications are not met.

Due to the very low remaining free float of shares, no new series and maturities will be introduced in options on Flughafen Wien (FLU). As soon as there are no open positions anymore, trading in the affected contracts will be discontinued. Trading in the single stock futures contracts on Flughafen Wien has already been discontinued due to 0 open interest.

On 13th June 2022, the company Flughafen Wien AG announced that the company Airports Group Europe S.a.r.l. is to launch a mandatory takeover offer to the shareholders of Flughafen Wien AG at an offer price of EUR 33.00 per share.
