Eurex Exchange Readiness Newsflash | Decommissioning of FIX Gateway 4.2 trading sessions and FIX Gateway back office sessions on 1 October 2021

Eurex Exchange Readiness Newsflash | Decommissioning of FIX Gateway 4.2 trading sessions and FIX Gateway back office sessions on 1 October 2021

Dear Eurex participants,

With this Newsflash we would like to remind you about the upcoming decommissioning of the FIX Gateway 4.2 trading session and FIX Gateway back office sessions on 1 October 2021

As previously announced in Eurex Circular 012/21, Eurex will decommission the support of the existing FIX Gateway back-office sessions and the FIX Gateway 4.2 trading sessions on 1 October 2021, prior to the introduction of T7 Release 10.0 (simulation start on 13 September 2021 and production launch on 22 November 2021).

Please note that T7 Release 10.0 will support only FIX version 4.4, both for the existing FIX gateway and for the new FIX LF interface. Furthermore, the Self-Match Prevention (SMP) feature will only be offered for the new FIX LF interface.

Support for the existing FIX Gateway back-office sessions and the FIX Gateway 4.2 trading sessions in the simulation environment has already ended on 31 August 2021.

The ordering of FIX LF trading sessions for simulation has started already on 31 August 2021. Production FIX LF trading sessions can be ordered from 19 November 2021 onwards.

We strongly recommend that participants who are still using existing FIX gateway back office sessions to immediately order new FIX LF back office sessions (Simulation and Production).

In addition, participants using the FIX version 4.2 trading session must ensure that their applications are adapted to FIX version 4.4 prior to 1 October 2021.

Due to technical reasons, it will not be possible to perform a session logon for the FIX LF trading sessions in the production environment prior to the launch of T7 Release 10.0. The earliest possible opportunity to perform a FIX LF trading session login in the production environment will be during the connection test for T7 Release 10.0 on Saturday, 20 November 2021.

For more information regarding transition phases for T7 FIX LF back office and trading sessions and the decommissioning of existing FIX gateway, please refer to Eurex Circulars 012/21 and 081/21.

All details concerning the FIX LF interface are outlined in the FIX LF Manual located under Support > Initiatives & Releases > T7 Release 10.0 > System Documentation
