Futures and options on EURO STOXX® and STOXX® Europe 600 Sector Indexes: Introduction of further derivatives following the introduction of new ICB supersectors

1.  Introduction

The Management Board of Eurex Deutschland took the following decisions:

With effect from 21 September 2020:

  • Introduction of eight futures and eight options on EURO STOXX® and STOXX® Europe 600 Sector Indexes.

With effect from 1 October 2020:

  • Inclusion of the new products into the existing Liquidity Provider Schemes.

Production start of the new products: 21 September 2020

There is no required action for participation.  

3.  Details of the initiative

A. Product overview

For the product overview, please refer to Attachment 1. 

B. Contract specifications

Please find an overview in table format in Attachment 1. 

For the detailed Contract Specifications, please see Attachment 2.

The updated Contract Specifications for Futures Contracts and Options Contracts at Eurex Deutschland will be published on the Eurex website www.eurexchange.com as of start of trading under the following link:

D. Trading calendar

Futures and options on STOXX® indices are available on each trading day at Eurex Deutschland. The exact trading days can be found from the start of trading in the trading calendar published on the Eurex website under the link:

E. Product group

The product group for the new products can be found in Attachment 1.

F. Liquidity Provider schemes

Effective 1 October 2020, the new EURO STOXX® and STOXX® Europe 600 Sector Indexes Derivatives will be included into the existing Liquidity Provider (LP) schemes. 

All further information can be found in the attached PSS documents (Attachments 3 and 4).

G. Excessive System Usage Fee and Order to Trade Ratio

The Excessive System Usage Fee and the Order to Trade Ratio are determined in line with the existing Equity Index Derivatives (FINX). For further information, please refer to the Eurex website under the following links:

H. Mistrade parameters

Mistrade ranges for the new index futures and options will be available for download on the Eurex website as of start of trading under the following link:

I. Data vendor codes

At start of trading, vendor codes for the new products will be published on the Eurex website under the link:

J. Admission to the Eurex T7 Entry Services (TES)

An overview of the Eurex T7 Entry Services available for the products as well as detailed information on single product basis with regard to availability, possibility of utilisation and minimum entry size for the various Eurex T7 Entry Services is available on the Eurex website under the following link:

The new derivatives on STOXX® indices will be admitted to the TES with the parameters stated in Attachment 1.

As of start of trading, risk parameters of the new products will be published on the Eurex website under the link:

The market status window is an indication regarding the current technical availability of the trading system. It indicates whether news board messages regarding current technical issues of the trading system have been published or will be published shortly.
