Synthetic Matching for Packs and Bundles in STIR Markets

Eurex is expanding its synthetic matching capabilities to include packs and bundles, in addition to the existing calendar spread and condor synthetics. The functionality will be available in the Short-Term Interest Rate (STIR) futures. This enhancement allows incoming orders for these strategies to be matched against a synthetic combination of orders from simple instruments in the order book. The goal is to enhance order book liquidity and transparency in the STIRs market.

Trading Participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new synthetic matching functionality for packs and bundles in the STIR market. Testing these new scenarios in the simulation environment is recommended to understand the potential for increased matching opportunities.

Decommissioning of Deprecated ETI Order Entry Requests

Five new ETI order management requests were introduced with T7 Release 12.0. The key benefits include:

  • Alignment: Standardized order layouts across all T7 exchanges.
  • Simplicity: Combined simple and complex layouts into a single, unified request.
  • Performance: Optimized field arrangement for greater efficiency and reduced latency.

To take advantage of significant performance improvements and ensure a seamless transition, clients are required to update their order entry software.

Please begin migrating immediately from the deprecated Single- and Multi-Leg requests to the five new requests, which are already active in the production environment.

Sponsored Access –

Wave 2

Following its initial launch, Eurex is upgrading the Sponsored Access (SpA) program in T7 Release 14.1 with new tools for both sponsors and their clients.

  • For Service Providers: The update introduces enhanced risk management and monitoring capabilities. This includes FIX LF Drop Copy for comprehensive order oversight and an improved ETI function to halt a user's trading activity.

  • For User Companies: Users will gain access to the T7 Trader GUI for order and trade management, as well as FIX LF functionality for their own backoffice information.

SpA Service Providers: Service Providers should prepare their systems to integrate the new FIX LF functionalities to enhance their monitoring and risk management capabilities. They should also familiarize themselves with the new stop functionality via ETI.

SpA User Companies: User Companies should prepare to leverage the new T7 Trader GUI for improved order and trade management. They can also utilize the new FIX LF capabilities for their own order information management. It is recommended that both Service Providers and User Companies test these new functionalities in the simulation environment once they become available.
