Eurex Clearing Readiness Newsflash | C7 SCS Release 3.0: Harmonization of CSD processing for re-instruction after partial release in case of manual intervention by Eurex Clearing

Dear Client,

With this newsflash, Eurex Clearing would like to draw your attention to harmonization of C7 SCS delivery instruction creation after manual intervention by Eurex Clearing.

Activation of the harmonization is envisaged for 20 November 2023.

Status of Net Position Trade and delivery instruction after manual cancellation and re-instruction of remaining quantity

In case of a pending Net Position Trade, where the respective settlement delivery instruction has been cancelled, in a context of manual intervention, and re-instruction is required, Eurex Clearing, acting on behalf of a client, creates a new delivery instruction for a remaining quantity.

As of now, creation of delivery instructions for a partially released Net Position Trade is processed differently depending on the settlement location (i.e. CBF and CBF-i), thus Eurex Clearing has decided to harmonize it for CBF, CBF-i, SIX SIS and cross-border instructions.

After manual intervention by Eurex Clearing on a partially released Net Position Trade, both, the Net Position Trade and the newly created delivery instruction, will have the status "On Hold". The affected client should then release the delivery instruction, partially or fully, using the CSD interface.

Note that this concerns only re-instructions of Sell Net Position Trades, as Buy Net Position Trades are always instructed “Released”.
