How to on-board with us

Become a Clearing Member

In order to clear your own transactions and those of your Disclosed Clients and clients that do not hold a clearing license, you must become a General Clearing Members (GCM) with EurexOTC Clear.

Access for Disclosed Clients

At Eurex Clearing, we also provide a variety of options for clients to connect indirectly to our service. As a buy side client, you can participate at EurexOTC Clear by passing your transactions to a Eurex Clearing Member who clears on your behalf. You can have one or many Clearing Members and one or many executing brokers.

Basic Disclosed Client (DC)

  • To become a Disclosed Client, the legal entity must be known to Eurex Clearing
  • The primary relationship remains between the DC and the Clearing Member. Clearing Members are entitled to set their own eligibility criteria for clients
  • The client must be setup /a user of an approved trade source
  • The client can be referenced via an up to 20 character account reference (Basic DC in A-Account or FCM Client) or a 5 letter Member ID (Basic DC with Reports) Each CM relation has a one-to-one referencing (via the account ID or Member ID)
  • The client is able to request access to the Common Report Engine (CRE) to receive reports. In this case, a Reporting Id (for Basic DC in A-Account or FCM Client) or Member ID (Basic DC with Reports) will be assigned.

Basic Disclosed Client with System Access

  • To become a Disclosed Client with System Access (e.g. for the OTC Clear GUI), the entity must be known to Eurex Clearing and we conduct a KYC (Know Your Customer) assessment, during which we collect up-to-date KYC documents
  • To become a DC with System Access, the connection agreement of Eurex Clearing AG needs to be signed
  • The primary relationship remains between the DC and the Clearing Member. Clearing Members are entitled to set their own eligibility criteria for clients
  • The client can be referenced via a 5 letter ID (Member ID)
  • The Clearing Member is able to request access for them to the Common Report Engine (CRE) to receive reports. 

To test connection to the service, workflow, margin processes and reports, a simulation environment has been set up for both Clearing Members and their clients.

To get connected, the following interfaces should be in place:

  • UAT of MarkitWire (CM, DC)
  • OTC Clearing GUI (CM; post-trade functionality)
  • Derivatives Clearing GUI (CM; collateral management)
  • Common Report Engine (CM, optional DC; trade and risk reports)
