UNO Project Wave 2
Additionally, Eurex Clearing would like to bring to your attention three action items related to Clearstream’s project UNO Wave 2 that are fundamental in C7 SCS Release 5.5:
a) Testing possibility for Market Activation Wave 2
Clearstream will change its T2S link setup for the Swiss US/Canada markets which will result in cancellation of pending deliveries and reinstruction to the 6-series account. To test this market activation wave, Clearing Members will have a chance to participate in testing activities on 29 April 2026. More details are available in the Member Simulation Guide.
b) German ADRs handling
On 18 May 2026, Clearstream will update the custody type of German ADRs from CSC to NCSC. The only impacted ISIN cleared by Eurex Clearing is BioNTech SE (ISIN US09075V1026). Cancellation of pending deliveries and reinstruction to the 6-series account will take place during the migration. More details are available in section 3.6 of the Release Notes and on Unified for New Opportunities: Wave 2 market activation for German ADRs.
c) CHF funding of 6-series accounts
After 1 June 2026 and the replacement of the direct link between Clearstream Europe AG (CEU) and SIX SIS, Clearstream will book CHF payments to the 6-series cash account mapped to the CEU account. Clearing Members and Settlement Institutions are requested to ensure that cash and/or credit lines on this account are sufficient to settle their CHF transactions. This is particularly important when settling bond deliveries resulting from notification/allocation of Fixed Income Futures on Swiss government bonds (CONF) on a CEU account. First such delivery date is Wednesday, 10 June 2026. More details are available in section 3.3 of the Release Notes.
