Eurex Clearing Readiness Newsflash | Enhancement of USD Cash Collateral handling
Dear Clearing Member,
Eurex Clearing will improve its acceptance of USD Cash Collateral by expanding the applicable timeframe with effective date as of 1 July 2020:
- USD Cash Deposits are now permitted between 07:00 CET - 21:00 CET (previously 14:00 CET - 21:00 CET)
- The delivery of USD to cover Intraday Margin Calls is now permitted between 07:00 CET - 22:00 CET (previously 14:00 CET – 22:00 CET).
Furthermore, USD as Pool Currency has been introduced as an option for collateral pools with the following features:
- End-of-day Margin Call is calculated and issued in USD
- Provided USD will no longer be exchanged against Clearing Currency on the next business day.
