Eurex Clearing’s FIXML Interface: Improved back-office outsourcing procedure

From 7 August 2013, an improved back-office outsourcing procedure for Eurex Clearing’s FIXML interface will be available for Eurex Clearing Members (CMs) in Eurex simulation. From 23 September 2013, it will also be available in Eurex production.

The improved outsourcing process simplifies the current process, as the insourcing Member sends FIXML requests for the outsourcer by using his own FIXML Interface authentication.

As the improved back-office outsourcing procedure will be an optional offering, there will be two outsourcing options available. The current FIXML outsourcing procedure remains unchanged and can be used as before.

The improved outsourcing procedure gives the opportunity to ease the insourcing business for CMs, as it reduces the operational and technical effort for the in- and outsourcing Members.

The improvements will allow insourcing CMs to use their own FIXML queue to send FIXML messages for the outsourcing Member. Currently an insourcing CM must request a FIXML queue for each outsourcing Member, using the outsourcer’s FIXML Interface authentication.
Prerequisite for all outsourcing options (the current as well as the improved one) is that an outsourcing agreement between the insourcing CM and the outsourcing Member exists and has been notified to Eurex Clearing.

This circular describes the improved outsourcing solution in detail.
