Eurex Exchange/EEX Cooperation: Decommissioning of the clearing link between Eurex Clearing and European Commodity Clearing

With this circular, Eurex Clearing announces the decommissioning of clearing services for Eurex Exchange/EEX cooperation products as of 13 June 2014.

Clearing Members of Eurex Clearing holding an EEX clearing license and their clients are therefore kindly asked not to open any new positions in cooperation products. Clearing Members currently holding open positions need to close out or transfer those by 13 June 2014, at the latest. Affected Clearing Members have already been contacted individually.

Members of Eurex Clearing who would like to become Clearing Members of ECC in order to transfer open positions currently held with Eurex Clearing will be contacted by Eurex Clearing and ECC in order to find a convenient solution.

Clearing Licenses for Eurex Exchange/EEX cooperation products pursuant to Chapter VII of the Clearing Conditions for Eurex Clearing (EEX-Clearing Licenses) will be terminated in the upcoming two weeks.

The respective amendments to the Rules and Regulations of Eurex Clearing will be outlined in a separate Eurex Clearing circular.
