1. Introduction
The notification period for usage of the USD Permanent Cash Holding service will be reduced to one day for deposits and withdrawals to further improve the handling.
Clearing Members who wish to deposit U.S. dollar (USD) for a minimum holding period of five days can benefit from this improvement.
Furthermore, the cash service fee for USD Permanent Cash Holding will be reduced to 20 bps until further notice (see Eurex Clearing circular 054/19).
The aforementioned changes will come into effect on 17 June 2019.
2. Requirements
As of 17 June 2019, Clearing Members have to follow the process described below:
The e-mail address to which requests have to be sent is stated on the form for deposit/withdrawal requests. The form will be available for download in the Member Section of the Eurex Clearing website under the following path:
Risk & Collateral Management > Permanent Cash Balance in USD
3. Details
On 21 March 2019, Eurex Clearing informed the Clearing Members via Newsflash about the re-introduction of the USD Permanent Cash Holding service for Clearing Members who wish to deposit U.S. dollar (USD) for a minimum holding period of five days.
Due to system enhancements and operational improvements, Eurex Clearing is now able to reduce the notification period to one day for both deposits and withdrawals from formerly two days and five days, respectively.
In addition, on 29 May 2019, Eurex Clearing announced with Eurex Clearing circular 054/19 that the cash service fee for USD permanent cash holdings a temporary reduction of the cash service fee for USD permanent cash holdings will be reduced to 20 bps until further notice to facilitate the deployment.
