Eurex Clearing Circular 104/19

1.   Introduction

With this circular, Eurex Clearing announces the production launch of C7 Release 6.0 on Monday, 18 November 2019. All Clearing Members, Basic Clearing Members, Disclosed Direct Clients of Eurex Clearing AG and vendors are affected by the introduction. OTC Clearing Members might be impacted due to the report changes.

Production start: 18 November 2019

The overall decommissioning of the Eurex Classic System with the final migration of the existing windows is scheduled for 13 January 2020. A detailed breakdown of each function can be found in the “Release Notes” and in the respective Newsflashes.

2.   Required action

Please refer to the “Release Notes” and related documents in order to update your internal systems accordingly. You can find these documents on the Eurex Clearing website www.eurexclearing.com under the following path:

Technology > Eurex Clearing’s C7 > System documentation > Overview and Functionality

Please also consider that prior to the production launch until 15 November 2019, Clearing Members have the possibility to review or change the capacity product assignment. This  is also possible after production launch.

3.   Details

As announced with Eurex Clearing circular 046/19 and documented in the “Release Notes”, the functionality and services introduced with C7 Release 6.0 are as follows:

  • Functionalities and windows moving out of Eurex Classic to the C7 GUI and the Eurex Clearing website
  • Decommissioning of Transaction Size Limit - on Member Level
  • Enhancement of End of Assignment FIXML message
  • Provision for Disclosed and Non-Disclosed fees
  • Report changes (format changes from txt to .csv and .xml for a few reports as well as some reports being decommissioned or replaced)

Further details on the above-mentioned enhancements and changes can be found in the functional and technical documentations which are available on the Eurex Clearing website under the following link:

Technology > Eurex Clearing’s C7 > System documentation > Overview and Functionality

Further information can be found on the Initiatives page under the following link:

Resources > Initiatives > C7 Release 6.0

4.    Known limitations on capacity / product assignment:

  • When using the C7 GUI, the “Registered Participant Overview” window for Load Assignments requires the user to enter either Owner or Sponsor for the inquiry. If neither of these fields are populated, this will result in a timeout.
  • With regards to mass assignments, the GUI can take a long time to display “Successful assignment” and the subsequent “Success” message. It is therefore recommended to wait until all “Successful assignment” logs are displayed, before choosing another tab or browser. For the additional Success messages, the user does not need to wait to review all messages.

Unless the context requires otherwise, terms used and not otherwise defined in this circular shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Clearing Conditions of Eurex Clearing AG.
