Announcement of C7 Release 6.1

Eurex Clearing Circular 001/20

1.    Introduction

With this circular, Eurex Clearing announces the production launch of C7 Release 6.1 which is scheduled for Monday, 29 June 2020. The simulation environment is planned to be available from 4 May 2020.

With C7 Release 6.1, the following functional changes are envisaged: 

  • Persistence of Strategy Details post Transaction Adjustments Events
  • Support of new Eurex EnLight functionality
  • Support of Equity Bespoke Baskets for Futures

Further details about functional and technical changes will made available via the functional and technical release documents as per the attached “Eurex Clearing Member Communication Calendar”. The Communication Calendar is also available on the Eurex Clearing website www.eurexclearing.com under the following path:

Planned simulation start: 4 May 2020

Planned production start: 29 June 2020

2.    Action required

Please prepare for the Release and make sure that all of your Release Contacts have subscribed for Eurex Clearing circulars and Newsflashes on the Eurex Clearing website under the following link:

A.    Timeline

B.    Overview of functional changes

The following functional enhancements will be introduced with C7 Release 6.1:

  • Persistence of Strategy Details post Transaction Adjustments Events

The strategy details such as the strategy type and the strategy sub type will be kept persistent after transaction adjustments events (i.e. Transaction Separation, Transaction Account Transfer, Transaction Open/Close Adjustment, Transaction Adjustment, Give-Up, Take-Up, Average Pricing and De-merge). 

With this enhancement, strategies can be distinguished from non-strategy transactions throughout the complete transaction lifecycle. 

  • Support of new Eurex EnLight functionalities

With T7 Release 8.1, Eurex will introduce new Eurex EnLight functionalities. Details can be found in Eurex circular 118/19. Eurex Clearing will support these new functionalities and hence will include a new trade type to distinguish between different EnLight trades.

  • Support of Equity Bespoke Baskets for Futures

With T7 Release 8.1, Eurex will introduce new basket types, denoted as Equity Bespoke Baskets, which refers to equity related Futures. Details can be found in Eurex circular 118/19. Eurex Clearing plans to support these new baskets pending regulatory approval.

Unless the context requires otherwise, terms used and not otherwise defined in this circular shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Clearing Conditions of Eurex Clearing AG.
