Eurex Clearing Readiness Newsflash | EurexOTC Clear: A. Usage of agency account - auto-rejection of unknown deals for EurexOTC Clearing Members; B. New public keys for Members using AMQP for the Eurex Clearing FpML Interface

Dear Clearing Member,

With this newsflash, Eurex Clearing would like to inform you about two EurexOTC Clear-related topics:

A.  Usage of agency account - auto-rejection of unknown deals for EurexOTC Clearing Members

The auto-rejection functionality for unknown deals, available for Clearing Members, will be introduced in production on 10 February 2020.

Client deals with unknown relationship between the Client and the Clearing Member, or any other incorrect setups (e.g. sending by the Trading Source and not matching with the Eurex Clearing setup), are currently booked into the default agent account (typically the A1-Account) of this Clearing Member. Through the auto-rejection functionality, Undisclosed Client deals or deals of Disclosed Clients with a wrong mapping to a Clearing Member will be, per default, auto-rejected.

Clearing Members with agency business already have the facility to test this functionality in the simulation environment.

No specific actions are required for Clearing Members who would like to apply this functionality. In case Clearing Members do not wish to use the auto-rejection functionality and like to maintain the current behaviour, i.e. the booking of still unknown trades into the default agent account, they have to switch off the auto-rejection of trades with unknown Markitwire ID/LEI.

In order to do so, please hand in the "EurexOTC Clear Interest Rate Derivative Static Data Form for Clearing Member" (Simulation or Production) to your Key Account Manager.

The form is available on the Eurex Clearing website www.eurexclearing.com under the following path:

B.  New public keys for Members using the AMQP for Eurex Clearing FpML Interface

New SSL/TLS certificates will be installed on the AMQP brokers used for the Eurex Clearing FpML Interface in production. They will replace the existing certificates which are approaching their expiration date. 

The new public keys will be available for download in the Eurex Clearing Member Section on the Eurex Clearing website www.eurexclearing.com under the following link:

Member Section > Technology > EurexOTC Clear > System documentation > Interfaces > Production 

In order to make the client application accept the server certificate during the connection establishment, the public keys of the AMQP brokers or the public keys of the CA have to be installed on the client side. The client application has to be able to access the certificates. 

The new certificates will be activated as follows:

• in the production environment on 29 February 2020.

The certificate for the production environment will be available for download in the first week of February 2020.
