1. Introduction
As Clearing Members are aware, the European Union and several other jurisdictions have imposed sanctions against several Russian state-owned entities, financial institutions, and other companies and individuals.
2. Required action
Eurex Clearing hereby informs Clearing Members and reminds them that it is their responsibility to comply with the prohibitions resulting from Sanctions laws, and regulations in the jurisdiction applicable to them. This circular is specifically addressed to Clearing Members that provide clearing services for their clients.
Please read this circular carefully and inform all relevant contacts within your organisation immediately about the responsibilities to comply with all relevant sanctions laws and take all necessary measures accordingly.
Unless the context requires otherwise, terms used and not otherwise defined in this circular shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Clearing Conditions or FCM Clearing Conditions of Eurex Clearing AG, as applicable.
