3. Details of changes
A. Amendment of existing theoretical values for bonds file (FPTHEB)
The two columns representing shifted interest rates (FTHEN/FTHNB) are removed from the theoretical values for bonds file (FPTHEB).
This change of the existing file will become effective in simulation only by 31 July 2026.
B. Additional Theoretical Cash Rate File for Bonds and Repos (FILEINRT)
With the introduction of term‑dependent interest rates, the legacy format of the theoretical bond price file has become obsolete. A new theoretical cash‑market price file will be introduced that provides the applicable term rates by currency and by the trade’s settlement date. RAIRU and RAIRD are now derived from the new price file, conditional on currency and settlement date; previously, they were provided at the security (ISIN) level. The new file will be made available to members via the Common Report Engine (CRE) in the same way as for all other theoretical price files that are available today. The methodology for calculating Current Liquidating Margin (CLM) Cash remains unchanged and can be found under following link:
Risk-based Margining at Eurex > Risk Based Margining (brochure).
This new file will be available from start of simulation.
Unless the context requires otherwise, terms used and not otherwise defined in this circular shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Clearing Conditions or FCM Clearing Conditions, as applicable.
