Eurex’s volume in Italian Equity Options is about 577,000 contracts representing a market share of 25 percent. On-Screen liquidity has improved significantly in our +50 Italian options, offering tight spreads and low transaction costs.
Eurex Exchange is the market place of choice for European Equity Options. Our offering comprises options on more than 500 European underlyings, from +10 countries.
In January 2016, 16.6 million Equity Options contracts were traded, a 6 percent increase from volumes in January 2015. The open interest reached 40.7 million contracts. Execution of EO trades is split evenly between order book and off-book trades.
