Round-up: our Equity segment in Q2
We at Eurex offer roughly 750 equity options and 800 single stock futures from more than ten countries. Below you will find the latest news on our Equity segment in Q2.
Equity options:
- The number of traded contracts in single equity options grew again by 11 percent in Q2 (year-on-year).
- German equity options increased by 20 percent (year-on-year) to 21.9 million traded contracts.
- Daimler (+73 percent) and Zurich (+63 percent) had the biggest increase in traded contracts among the top ten shares (year-on-year).
Single Stock Futures:
- Single Stock Futures saw a volume growth of 49 percent in Q2 (year-on-year).
- Special attention was paid to Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) with 5.4 million traded futures contracts.
- French Single Stock Futures increased by 10.2 million traded contracts (year-on-year).
- In our French Single Stock Futures, the spotlight was on GDF Suez with +134 percent and ING with +82 percent (year-on-year).
