Eurex Clearing
Since early December, the supervisory board of Eurex Clearing AG comprises two new members: Roselyne Renel and Clifford Lewis. The new board members replace those members – Richard Berliand, Reto Francioni and William Templer –, who stepped down earlier this year due to regulatory requirements or on own request.
Further, the supervisory board has appointed Clifford Lewis member of the Compensation Review and Nomination Committee of the supervisory board.
“We are delighted that the appointments of Roselyne and Clifford offer us the opportunity to extend our board’s diversity and internationality. With their deep and extensive knowledge of the industry, Roselyne and Clifford will further broaden the supervisory board’s expertise,” stated Hugo Baenziger, chairman of the supervisory board.
Roselyne Renel has been Group Chief Credit Officer of Standard Chartered Bank since November 2013. She has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining SCB, Roselyne spent 16 years at Deutsche Bank and 2.5 years at Standard Bank of South Africa where she was the Chief Risk Officer for the Investment Banking division. Roselyne lives in the UK.
Clifford Lewis has more than 30 years of professional experience in the financial market. He, inter alia, worked for the World Bank and the Chicago Board of Trade. From 2001 to 2013, he was CEO of Currenex. At present, Clifford is Lead Independent Director of Eris Exchange and member of the CFTC Technology Advisory Committee. He lives in Florida.
