Eurex

The new Website - what has changed?

Eurex refreshed its brand, resulting in new colors, imagery, typefaces, logos on the Website. We sat down with Cornelius Müller, Head of Marketing, to find out what else changed.

A new design on the website. Anything else new?

A new domain! We moved from Eurexchange.com to Eurex.com. This is now the leading site featuring all the Eurex services from Listed Derivatives, Clearing to Repo. A single domain reflects how we see ourselves and also how the market perceives us: One Eurex. This is also reflected in the branding where we have the same look and feel across the entire Eurex universe. And, fresh new visuals are applied throughout all pages – have fun discovering it.

A fresh and unified look. But what are the ‘real’ differences for site visitors?

We know from our traffic analysis, that the site is mainly used to search product information. Therefore, we created a new and powerful product search. Powerful, as this search lets you easily find all listed derivatives and quickly displays in tabs the most viewed information of these products like trading units, minimum block trade sizes or trading hours. It’s accessible from anywhere by clicking on the top right search icon. Here, you can choose between the product search or a general document search.

You can also use the new feature as a product screener; checking the open interest and traded contracts. From this new product search, you can also access the new product single views. These were designed based on user experience requirements and feedback received from clients in surveys. You can find all the information you need on a product: from statistics to parameters and from the calendar to fees.

You also changed the navigation structure?

Yes, the Eurex.com site now features what we consider logical headers. The first one is “Markets," showing all our markets and products from listed derivatives across all asset classes to repo markets. Next to that, we have the header “Trade." Here you can find the trading calendar, hours, the news board, the participant list, and all information about market models and our innovative solutions such as Eurex EnLight and Eurex Improve.

The third header, "Clear," switches the navigation to the clearing specific services. From there, you can switch back to trading via "Trade." Under "Data," we listed everything you need on the data side: from statistics and downloadable files to information on data feeds and analytical data. Following these logical headers, sections “Tech” and “Rules & Regulations” should speak for themselves. And, with "Find," we have created a section under which you can literally find all sorts of information ranging from news to contacts, publications or events.

What happens if you’ve bookmarked sections?

We are redirecting a majority of links, so your set bookmarks should continue to work. For everyone's convenience, we've also prepared a list of all the main items that have moved. This may especially help people who have integrated a link into a piece of code to download files automatically.

Happy this project came to a successful end?

Oh, this is not the end of the project. It's, at most, only the end of the beginning. We first worked on bringing the site up to speed in terms of the underlying technology and adapt it to our new branding. Now, we can continue working on further improving the site to provide clients with more value-added functions.
