Eurex Exchange's Equity Derivatives update - June 2016

We would like to share key figures and interesting developments in our Equity Derivatives complex for the first 5 months of 2016.

Especially May 2016 figures show some interesting structural changes in European Equity Options. Main reason for those changes for the benefit of trading on Eurex might be the competitive transaction fees - trading and clearing included - offered for client accounts at Eurex with 10 cent and respectively 5 cent above the threshold of 1,000 lots traded.

Comparing the volume figures from the first two months of Q1 vs. Q2, in Eurex Equity Options we see an increase of 4,8% in particular due to the strong growth in the Russian, Swedish, Finnish and Italian segments.

Go with the flow in French Equity Options: The majority of the on-screen volume is traded on Eurex
