Eurex Clearing
In September 2014 Eurex Clearing extended the framework of multiple omnibus collateral pools for the Elementary Clearing Model and introduced the service for the Net Omnibus Clearing Model. Within each of these clearing models, a Clearing Member could initially set up a maximum of five (5) omnibus collateral pools.
With immediate effect, Eurex Clearing will further extend the service and allow Clearing Members to set up an unlimited number of omnibus collateral pools per respective clearing model. Eurex Clearing will continuously monitor the use of multiple omnibus collateral pools and implement appropriate measures to promote the efficient setup should this become necessary. To this end, Clearing Members are encouraged to discuss any future setup with their Key Account Manager in order to optimize efficient usage of Eurex Clearing’s segregation offering.
Please note that the other restrictions as laid out in Eurex Clearing circular 106/14 will continue to apply. An omnibus collateral pool must consist of
· one or several A-accounts or
· at least two Non-Clearing Members (NCMs) or two Registered Customers (RCs) or
· any combination of NCMs, RCs and A-accounts.
