Dear Client,
With this Newsflash, Eurex Clearing would like to inform you about the upcoming trade amendment that will be performed on all ECAG cleared, active OTC transactions to update them with appropriate Unique Product Identifiers (UPI).
To fulfil the forthcoming EMIR REFIT transaction reporting obligations, all CCP cleared and active OTC transactions will be amended with relevant UPIs.
Timeline for the amendment
All cleared and active OTC transactions in the Production environment will be amended with the applicable UPIs on Saturday, 20 January 2024. ECAG will transmit trade notification messages to the appropriate Eurex members and clients immediately following the amendment for all transactions being amended in this cycle. It is recommended that members process these trade notification messages at their end before the start of the next business day.
If any Eurex member or client would like to opt out of receiving these trade notification messages, they should contact client.services@eurex.com before 30 November 2023.
After the trade amendment has been completed, members can find their UPI in their CB201 Daily Summary Report, which will be created with a timestamp of Saturday, 20 January 2024, in order to distinguish them from their reports from business days in production. Members will be informed via Newsboard message upon completion of the trade amendment.
Testing possibility
To allow Clearing Members the possibility to test the UPI amendment processing, Eurex Clearing will perform the activity in the simulation environment on Monday, 11 December 2023. The trade amendment would be performed on all cleared and active OTC trades in the simulation environment.
All changes of the UPI will be visible in the intraday version of the Daily Summary Report, which is the CI201 report. Test portfolios should be cleared in Simulation latest on 8 December 2023, 18:00 CET.
