Eurex Clearing
Dear Client,
As announced via the Production Newsboard Message on Saturday, 20 January 2024, the Unique Product Identifier (UPI) assignment could not be performed for all cleared, active OTC trades in scope.
With this Newsflash, Eurex Clearing would like to inform Clearing Members that a contingency date was planned to perform the UPI assignment for the remaining cleared, active OTC trades (except Zero Coupon Inflation Swaps).
Timeline of the Contingency Trade Amendment run
All remaining cleared and active OTC transactions in the Production environment with the exception of Zero-Coupon Inflation Swaps will be updated with the applicable UPIs on Saturday, 27 January 2024. ECAG will transmit trade notification messages to the respective Clearing Members and clients immediately following the amendment of all transactions in this run. It is recommended that Clearing Members process these trade notification messages at their end before the start of the next business day.
All Clearing Members who opted out from receiving the trade notification messages on 20 January 2024 will be excluded from the trade notification messages transmission run on 27 January 2024 as well. If any additional Clearing Member or client would like to opt out of receiving these trade notification messages, they should contact client.services@eurex.com before 25 January 2024.
As in the previous trade amendment run, Clearing Members can find their UPIs in their CB201 Daily Summary Report, which will be created with a timestamp of Saturday, 27 January 2024 in order to distinguish them from the reports from business days in production. Clearing Members will be informed via Production Newsboard Message upon completion of the trade amendment.
Please note that all ECAG cleared and active Zero-Coupon Inflation Swaps will be updated with appropriate UPIs prior to the EMIR Refit Go-Live date. An update on the amendment date will be provided as soon as available.
